Arbor Creek's First Volleyball Game

They won! In fact, they won every single one of their games! Charlotte was the setter and played so much and was so good! And her serves were always so good!!! I don't think she ever missed one. I remember just the summer before, how it was hard for her to get the ball over the net. And then one day it just clicked and worked. She never missed a serve after that!

Charlotte Made the Volleyball Team!

It was such a relief when Charlotte found out she made the volleyball team in 8th grade! I remember when we were looking at the list, I was just praying we would see her ID number. It was the happiest day when we saw it!!! One of the families that she babysits for (Anthony and Cameron Conte) sent her Tiffs Treats cookies as a congratulations. 

 

First Day of School and Happy 17th Birthday Nathan

Nathan's hair was still long and permed when he was 16, so happy he decided to go shorter!!! We had our annual sushi dinner at revolving sushi and a crepe for dessert. Since it's my first day of school too, I never get to see them before they leave which does make me sad, but Charlotte always sends me a picture of her and her friends. Nathan, nope :(

Breakfast for Dinner...Compliments of Nathan!

I remember this so clearly! I had to take Charlotte to Volleyball practice right after school and wasn't going to be home in time to make dinner, but everyone really wanted breakfast for dinner. So I called Nathan and asked if he could make it for us. I was so shocked when he said SURE! No hesitation! The funny part is that I was waiting in the car while Charlotte was at practice and walking Nathan through every step...I think we were on the phone together for 45 minutes lol!!! But this is what we came home to! It was a beautiful presentation and mountain of dishes. But it was delicious!

 

Arbor Creek Cheer-8th Grade

Charlotte loved being a cheerleader in 8th grade...I think she really just loved how cute she looked in her uniform!
