We decided to add a little culture to our lives and went on a field trip to the Dallas Children's Museum. Kelly and Marla rode with us and then we met Brock and Angela at the museum. We had so much fun, and there was so much for the kids to do! I couldn't believe it! We will definitely have to go back soon.
"Kelly, I'm so excited that I'm not even going to take my morning nap in the car like Mommy was hoping!"
Nathan, Kelly, and Brock in front of the big, mean, bear.
Kelly demonstrated to the others how waves are made.
We started out in strollers, but soon they all wanted out. Since it wasn't too crowded, we let them walk around on their own (with us watching them). This was a double sided mirror that was fun to play with.
The firetruck was a huge hit. When we first got to this exhibit, there were several bigger kids playing on the truck, but that didn't stop Nathan from getting his turn.
Brock was perfectly content playing with the steering wheel.
After playing on the firetruck, we found this area that was set up just for the little ones.
"Mommy, stop taking pictures, and get me out of the pit!"
Kelly is the typical girly girl and loved the dollhouse.
This exhibit was so funny! It was a farm exhibit with gardens to practice planting vegetables, stuffed chickens and eggs, and a cow to milk!
Miss Kelly showed Nathan what to do.
"I'll try anything to get some milk!"
After the farm exhibit, we walked into the water room. This was especially fun...and WET!
We then had a quick lunch at the cafe and headed home. Despite Marla's efforts to keep Nathan awake in the car, he was OUT! But luckily, he slept two more hours once we got home...I might have taken a little nap too :)
