Lauren's Easter Party

Saturday was Nathan's 3rd Easter party! The party was at Lauren's house and was so much fun. All of Nathan's friends were there. Since Nathan only got to wear his new outfit for about 10 minutes before getting chocolate all over it at Brock's party, I worked really hard the night before getting all of the chocolate out so he could wear it again. When we first got there, the kids had fun talking and playing with each other. Then the magic show started! Miss Cookie (our entertainment) had her face painted like a rabbit and completely kept all of the kids' attention by blowing bubbles, showing them some tricks, and then bringing out a real bunny for the kids to pet. The kids looked so cute sitting in their chairs waiting for the show to start! Of course, Nathan and Lauren had to have their seats right next to each other.

Still waiting patiently...

Nathan had to rearrange himself a few times before the show started.

We want Miss Cookie! We want Miss Cookie!

Here she is!

While the magic show was going on, Nathan and Lauren snuck away a few times to play by themselves.

But then they always came back to see what Miss Cookie was doing next. At the very beginning, when Miss Cookie was introducing herself, Lauren and Nathan stood in the middle of the group and gave each other a big hug and kiss for all to see. It was so cute!

There's Nay-Nay in the middle of the show!

When Miss Cookie brought out some balls to do a trick with, who do you think was trying to steal them???

Is that a REAL rabbit???

Yes! And Nathan loved trying to pull her ears :) After the magic show, it was time to hunt Easter eggs. Thorne and Nathan were at the front of the pack and could not wait to get outside!

I think they're getting their game plan together.

"Wait a minute...if I take all of this yellow stuff out, I'll have more room for eggs!"

"Is it time yet?!"

"Let us out! I can see the eggs and it's killing me to be on this side of the door!"

Since Nathan has already had practice hunting eggs, he knew just what to do!

"Lauren, you didn't want this pink egg did you?"

Nathan had the habit of picking up a few eggs, opening them for the treats, throwing the empty ones on the ground, and then going to get more.

And he's still holding the basket like a purse :) After searching for a few more eggs, all of kids threw down their baskets and just played and played together in the yard.

Here are a few of the proud parents capturing the moment. That is one handsome daddy in red! He must be Nathan's daddy :)

Thank you Lauren for inviting us to your party!
