This was a favorite trip of ours. We hadn't been skiing in a while, and everyone wanted to go. Nathan decided he really wanted to learn to snow board. Even though he had never done it before, he decided that he would use this trip to learn. Nathan took a 1/2 day lesson, and totally lucked out. It was supposed to be a group lesson, but turned out to just have 2 other teenagers in his group: a brother and sister. Nathan said they were so cool and nice. Nathan, being the athlete his is, picked it right up! After the first day, he was able to balance and stay up and even turn. While Wayne, Charlotte, and I went on some harder green runs, Nathan wanted to stay on the lower part and keep practicing. He eventually was able to go up one lift higher and snowboard down on his own. It was really fun how we all took turns going together and sometimes going on our own. Wayne would end earlier with the kids and then I would go up on my own to do harder runs. I loved it! And we loved the mountain! This was our first time skiing Santa Fe. It was a small mountain but that made it easy for us to do everything since we were only there 3 days. But we loved the town as well. We stayed in Santa Fe and then drove to the mountain which was only a 15 minute drive. Can't wait to go back!
