Honor a Teacher Dinner

My student, Jason, loved meeting Nathan!!! My students always hear about my own kids and end up feeling like they know them. This was fun because the football players and Coach Towels came to Hicks to meet the kids in the morning. I loved seeing them at school. And then that night, they got to invite a special teacher to eat dinner with them at their Varsity Team Dinner. Nathan and Drew shared Coach Schotts...their elementary PE teacher. I work with Coach Schotts at Hicks, and she told me how honored she was that the boys would think of her. I remember that Nathan and Drew asked her the week of the dinner, so I told them since it's kind of last minute, she may not be able to make it. Well, Coach Schotts was so excited to be asked that she cancelled her tutoring sessions for that day and colored her hair herself so she'd look ok. She was SOOOOOOO excited to go! And then their friend Cortland asked Nurse Jen from Hicks. So it was a big Hicks reunion! 

 

Homecoming Dance

Such handsome boys! Nathan, Drew, and Camden came over first to let me take pictures then they met all the girls and the rest of their friends. They didn't have "dates" to this homecoming, just went as a big group. But the funny thing is that Nathan started dating Ryann soon after this and she is in the pictures! I didn't know her a the time! It's so funny to see the three of them changing their style from their 9th grade year to their junior year!
