Happy Fourth of July!

On the fourth, Wayne and I took Nathan to the Frisco celebration. We've never been before, so we thought it would be fun to see what it was like. Since Wayne was off on Friday, we had fun spending the long weekend with just the three of us. We swam and got caught up on all of our "to do" lists. And since we spent so much time together as a family, we thought we'd share Nathan with Mama and Papa. They came by early Sunday afternoon to pick Nathan up and let him spend the night with them. Wayne and spent the afternoon going to the movies and relaxing at home!

Nathan loves to push the stroller! Although it's cute at first, it ends up being a pain. He doesn't like for us to help, so if we put our hands on the handle to help steer, he gets mad and tries to push them off. And if you try to put him back in the stroller once he's tasted freedom...be prepared for a huge fit!

Nathan did let go of the stroller long enough to play this floating duck game.

And he didn't mind leaving the stroller for bubbles either!

"Look at all the bubbles I made!"

"Where's my stroller?"
While Nathan was busy blowing bubbles, Daddy took the stroller back to the car. He just about ran into everyone in his path because he didn't want us to steer!

We replaced the stroller with a big bag of Kettle Corn! This is my favorite! Of course, I only bought it because I thought Nathan needed a little treat :)

"Mommy, I think I only like seeing cows in books and on TV. This one is a little too big, too close, and too slobbery!"
After a ride on a "Coo-Coo Chain" we headed home to cook out. We were going to stay for the fireworks, but it was so hot! Plus, we saw them from our neighborhood the night before. We heard them going off, and drove down the street a bit where we had the best view! Nathan was a little scared at first, but then really enjoyed them.

Happy Fourth of July!
