On the first night, we met them over at Mama and Papa's house for a wonderful home cooked meal.
Mama and Papa always have juice boxes ready for their little Nathan. He knows exactly where they are, and usually grabs one of their hands to lead them to the fridge to get him one.
Taylor, Nathan, and Victoria
Nathan helped Mama make mashed potatoes. He's always ready to do the taste tests!
Along with juice boxes, Nathan knows that cookies can always be found at Mama and Papa's house. So what if he hasn't eaten dinner yet :)
Two is his favorite number, so he has to have two cookies...one for each hand.
Nathan ate a pretty good dinner, but ate an even better dessert...ice cream!
"Papa, I can do it myself!"
"Look how high I can go!" Nathan goes up to Papa and says, "Up high!" That's Papa's clue to play Nathan's favorite game.
"Papa is so much fun!"
After dinner, we took Papa's new golf cart for a ride. Nathan loves this!
And to end the night, Papa made us popcorn. This is another of Nathan's favorite snacks. I swear, no matter how much Nathan has eaten, he always has room for popcorn!
"Thank you Papa for the cookies, ice cream, juice boxes, and popcorn. Those are my favorites!"
The next morning, Nathan and I met Mama, Aunt Lisa, Taylor and Victoria, and spent the day shopping and eating lunch.
This is Nathan at Old Navy making friends with the mannequins! He couldn't really understand why they wouldn't play with him :)
On Saturday night, Nathan spent the night at Mama and Papa's house while Wayne and I spent the night celebrating Lisa and Patrick's birthday.
Mom and Dad took everyone to the McKinney square to walk around that night. Here is a cute family picture: Taylor, Lisa, Victoria, and Max.
While they were spending the evening together, this is what Wayne and I were doing. Lisa and Patrick Tavares were celebrating their 30th birthdays together and invited a group of us to play Whirly Ball and then go back to their house for a BBQ dinner and drinks. I had never played this before but had the best time! It's a cross between bumper cars, basketball, and lacrosse!
