Labor Day weekend was a lot of fun for us! Friday afternoon, we headed to the lake! Nathan and Charlotte couldn't wait to see Pearce. This was the first time all of us were at the lake together, so they had such a blast swimming and playing together. Nay Nay is a tubing pro! He wanted to ride on the tube every chance he got....didn't matter who it was with, or just by himself! We would go out in the boat mid-morning and then come back around lunch time, then back out late afternoon. One afternoon, we took the chill mat out on the lake and had fun playing on that. Of course, we had to do s'mores a couple of nights. Pearce had the good idea to tell spooky stories around the fire :) Papa got us a couple new lake toys, too.....another kayak and an inflatable boat. Oh my gosh....for the life of me, I could not master paddling that dang inflatable boat! Oh man, did we eat good, too! The first night, Papa cooked burgers on the grill and Mama made her yummy baked beans. Saturday night was taco night....YUM! Sunday night was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and Mama's homemade chocolate pie. SO GOOD!!!!!! After dinner, the kids would go back to their room and play and then me, mom, and Carrie would watch a movie together. It was such a nice, relaxing lake weekend! Thank you for such a fun weekend, Mama and Papa!!
