Happy Birthday Grandmother

We always take Grandmother to a nice restaurant for her birthday. This year she chose Roy's which is a Hawaiian restaurant. I've only been there once but I love it! We ate so much but it was so good!!!! Happy Birthday Helen! We love you so much!

Random Pictures

Here is Nathan taking a selfie, Nathan at his Valentine's party, Nathan and his best friend Drew looking like twins, me and Charlotte snuggling, and nathan and Charlotte at Mama and Papa's house. I don't have any pictures of Charlotte from her Valentine's party because the poor thing got the flu and had to miss it! The Friday before, she came into my room after school and said her head hurt. Then she fell asleep on my couch for 2 hours. When we got home, she slept for another 3 hours and had a fever. I took her to the dr. the next day and her flu test came back positive. She missed school on Monday and stayed with Grandmother which was her party day. On Tuesday, she went to school but still wasn't feeling good so Papa checked her out and she spent the day with them. She finally felt better on Wednesday. And then she just had to go to school Wednesday and Thursday. Friday was a student holiday but a teacher workday for me. They spent the night at mama and papa's house Thursday night and all of Friday. They had fun playing with Annie, riding their scooters, and going to Urban Air. When they came home on Friday, we took Grandmother out to eat for her birthday!

Nathan's Last Basketball Game

Nathan, Noah, Megan, and Charlotte have been hanging out a lot this year now that Megan and Charlotte are in the same class together. All four of them get along so great! This was the first time that nathan played basketball on a team. Noah plays soccer and his team decided to try basketball. They were a few players short so they asked Nathan to join. Even though Nathan had never played on a team before, he and Wayne always play. He also plays with neighborhood boys. Nathan looked like the Michael Jordan of the group. The other boys weren't that great. Nathan IS good but looked even better compared to the rest of his team!!! They never won a game, but pretty much all of their points were because of Nathan. The coach would rotate the other boys out but pretty much always let Nathan play because he was the one scoring all the points or stealing the ball from the other team members. Their last game was the one game that it looked like we could win. They (I mean Nathan) kept the score pretty even but the other team ended up winning. Nathan didn't really care because he had so much fun playing and enjoyed the attention everyone gave him. Plus the boys all got along so great! He's hooked now and can't wait to play again!

Super Bowl Party

Because Nathan is obsessed with football, it would only make sense that he hosts his own super bowl party. Last year, we invited a few friends over. This year we had more than a few over! I think there were 13 kids total! Nathan made a list of all of the junk food he wanted. We went to the store and filled the cart! We had chips, cookies, pizza, chocolate, gatorade, cokes, and so much more! The boys played football and the school and the girls dressed up like cheerleaders. They watched the game on and off, ate like pigs, ran around like crazy people, had a nerf war, a wrestling match, a ping pong tournament, and tons of fun! Wayne even got football cards for the winner of the ping pong tournament and the also for the winner of the person who got closest to guessing the final score. Drew won the ping pong match and Megan won the score bet. Wayne and I were exhausted afterwards!!! But it was so much fun for the kids!

Monster Trucks!

Nathan and Charlotte got invited to go to the Monster Madness Truck show at AT&T Stadium. Noah and Nathan have been friends since Kindergarten. And now Charlotte and his little sister, Megan, are in the same class this year in Kindergarten. It was so nice of Noah and Megan's parents to invite Nathan and Charlotte. They also invited another friend of the boys, Cal, and another friend of the girls, Kendall. They were brave to have six kids with them! And the best part was that they left at noon and didn't get home until 11:00! Wayne and I watched several movies and just enjoyed our day/night together! They came home exhausted, with lots of souvenirs, and told us all about it the next day. Now they want to go every year!
