Friends

Charlotte loves her friends!!! We had a playdate with Zenia and Adalynn...the girls swam and swam and then they had a neighborhood scavenger hunt and then we walked to Sonic to get a treat. Restaurants are not open so Sonic is the place to go! After the girls left, Nathan and his friends, Drew and Joel, came over to hang out. A lot of kids aren't having playdates right now, but we figured it's ok to be with our closest friends. I don't think Nathan and Charlotte could get through the summer without them! 

Lake Fun

We always have fun at the lake! This was the first time we had been back since March right before the pandemic started. We have been very careful with mom and dad, making sure we stay 6ft apart and wear our masks. I kept the kids pretty much home for 2 weeks before we went just to be sure we were all germ free. I have to tell you, it was wonderful to be in the same house as them and give hugs and kisses, but I was also worried to death the whole time! Mama and Charlotte can't help themselves. They hugged and kissed and snuggled. But my mom told me to stop worrying and that she can't go this long without hugging me and especially the kids. I finally relaxed, but after we got home, I kept checking on them for 2 weeks, lol! Annie missed Nathan and Charlotte and had so much fun being with them, swimming, tubing, and just laying around on them. Of course, we always have lots of snacks and goodies at the lake, along with lots of good food! You never go hungry there!

Daddy's New Office

Wayne and Elias have moved into a new office, and he needed his decorator and helpers to work their magic :) We got it all set up for him, and it looks so great! Now we are going to fix up the lobby area. Wayne is good at keeping to a budget which was about $0 for this, ha! We used extras from our house, but it looks great! He will have to spend money on furniture for the lobby, but I've already gotten it all designed and he likes it. I'll post pics when it's finished. 

Pool Fun

During this time, I am even more thankful for our pool!!!! The neighborhood pools aren't opening which is really irritating a lot of the neighborhood. It doesn't bother us though because we have our own! It is such a great way for the kids to spend some time getting outside and having fun. We aren't doing any house playdates but we do let the kids invite a friend over once a week to swim and have an outdoor playdate. This has been a life saver for us!!! I love that Nathan and Charlotte still love to swim just the two of them even without a friend. The other day, Charlotte saw a You Tube (where she and Nathan get all of their information 😊) video about a life hack to keep your popsicle from dripping on you...put the popsicle stick through a cupcake holder! Genius! Nathan was so impressed!

Poolside Dinner

The virus is still out there and cases are still rising. Texas has opened up but alot of people are still not being cautious which is causing the cases to rise. We are still being cautious not only for our family but for our parents as well. I was really missing them though so we had an outdoor cookout and pool party. We kept our distance but still had quality time together. It was so good for my soul to see and really have time talking with them. An added bonus was that Alexandra wanted to visit Mama and Papa too so this was the same weekend she came up. Nathan and Charlotte were so happy to get to see her! She looked so cute with her short hair and was so sweet to the kids. She even brought them a cookie decorating kit that one of her friends makes and sells. They LOVED that!!!!
