Happy Easter

The gang was all together for Easter! Charlotte was so happy to show off her newly pierced ears and to wear her beautiful dress again. Nathan looked so grown up and handsome and loved being with Pearce. The kids colored eggs, and an Easter egg hunt at the house and we had a wonderful lunch. We never go hungry during the holidays! On Easter Sunday, we met Grandmother at church, and Nathan decided he was ready to be baptized. We are so proud of him.

Mother Son NIght

Our annual Mother Son night at Hicks has gotten changed to Mother/Bring Whoever You Want. So silly, but Nathan and I kept it just the two of us. It's one of the few events I get to do with just him. We had so much fun! It was at Main Event and Nathan was so sweet and wanted me to do everything with him. We did the ropes course...which scared me to death. I think I actually embarrassed him because I was literally shaking trying to go across everything. And it didn't help that he and Drew would step out on the rope I was on and shake it! It was fun though. Then we played games and laser tag. I had fun having a drink or two with the other moms too!

Ears Pierced

Charlotte has been wanting to get her ears pierced FOREVER! We didn't want her to do it until we knew she was old enough to take care of them, and we also want to keep her our little baby :) But according to her, EVERYONE already has them pierced. We ended up telling her that maybe for her 9th birthday she could do it, maybe. But then we surprised her and let her do it right before Easter. She was so excited! We went to Claire's at the mall and got the sweetest girl to do it. I told her the one thing I was worried about was having them off centered. She'd mark the spot and ask me to look, but I'm so bad about being able to tell! I'd keep second guessing myself. Then she said she is really OCD about it so to just let her play around with it a while and she would get it just right. She re-marked several times and really took her time. Then she got one of the other girls to come and double check. Finally we said go for it! Charlotte was so still and didn't even flinch! She was so excited and couldn't wait to show them off. Since then, she has done such a great job cleaning them, changing them, and keeping her earrings organized.
