Perot Sleepover

Nathan has been looking forward to this field trip for so long! As a fifth grader, their class got to go to the Perot Museum for a sleepover! They went on a Thursday night so I took Friday off so I could go with him and then go home to bed the next day :) It really was amazing. I just loved seeing Nathan with his friends. He pretty much stuck with Drew, Aidan, and Gavin. They've been nicknamed the Four Musketeers. Amy, Drew's mom went as well as Gavin and Aidan's dads so we all hung out together. We just followed the boys and took pictures as they did their thing. Every experience he has as a fifth grader makes me sad though because I know this is his last year in elementary school. His SI group of friends at Hicks is like a small family, and I'm going to miss that so much. I can't really think about it or I get so sad. We had fun exploring all the different parts of the museum and ending the night with a dance party. Then we all set up our sleeping bags in the dinosaur room. The boys were all together with each other and the dads, and all the moms and girls slept together. I think I had just as much fun as Nathan!

Happy Thanksgiving 2018

Not only did we get to celebrate Thanksgiving, we also celebrated Mom and Alexandra's birthdays! We had a full house with Carrie, Chris, and Pearce. Jen, Alexandra, and Robert also came to Dallas. For Allie's birthday lunch, she really wanted to eat at Tupelo Honey at the Star. They have the best fried chicken and rolls so we were fine with that! On Thanksgiving Day, I made a great turkey if I do say so myself :) We had turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mama's sweet potatoes and dressing, Helen's sausage and corn casserole, her great broccoli salad, plus rolls, a pumpkin and pecan pie. My favorite holiday!!! The last pictures show Rusty trying to get his Thanksgiving meal, ha!!! Carrie and I also went black friday shopping which has become a tradition for me!
