Thanksgiving 2017

Thanksgiving at my house! I am always so scared I'm going to mess up the turkey!!!! I've fixed the turkey so many times and now have a roasting oven that is pretty foolproof, but I still worry we're going to cut into it and it will be like a scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, ha! I spend so much time going over my timeline and when to start all of the food and trying to get the timing just right. I usually get mad at Wayne and Nathan and Charlotte about something just because I'm stressed. But then it all turns out ok. I need to remember this each year! We had a full house with Mama, Papa, Grandmother, Carrie, Pearce, Chris, Jen, Robert and Alexandra. Of course, Nathan and Charlotte were in Heaven with everyone. They just love to have company!

We also celebrated mama's birthday and got her Apple TV since one of her favorite past times is TV/Movies!

And Carrie helped me get my tree up plus we also did our annual Black Friday shopping. We really don't spend all that much, but it is fun to get out of the house and go shopping together. Even if it's at midnight!

Getting Ready for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is on the way! Charlotte had a Thanksgiving Feast with her class. Unfortunately I was not able to go so here is a picture from a friend. Also during the break, we tried the dog park for the first time with Rusty! He loved it! We went several times during Thanksgiving and Christmas but haven't really been back. We were a little nervous when two dogs got into an argument. Rusty wasn't part of it, but it scared Nathan that a dog might hurt him. Probably if we went more often, we would be more comfortable. But we decided we didn't want to take any chances. He gets lots of play time and exercise with Nathan and Charlotte walking him and going to doggy daycare when we board him. We also had fun when Pearce got here for Thanksgiving! The three of them are such good friends and always have fun together!

Charlotte and Skylar

These two are still best friends. They have lived across the alley from us for 11 years and have known each other since they were first born. They switch off going to each other's houses multiple times a week and love to play babies, do make up, gymnastics, front yard picnics, swim, and pose for pictures! Every time they are together, they want to do a photo shoot :) They are moving at the end of this school year, and it's going to be so sad for Nathan and Charlotte. Nathan loves Jake just as much as Charlotte and Skylar love each other. I am dreading the day they actually move. But Jennifer Gierkey and I told the kids we would still have playdates and see each other. It will be really strange though not to be able to have them walk home together after school or just go by to borrow some ketchup :(
