Volleyball

This year was Charlotte's first year to start Volleyball...her first sport ever! She has also started hip hop dance at well, so she is now more busy than Nathan! I was worried about whether she would like volleyball or not, but oh my goodness she loves it!!! She is on a team with a bunch of girls from school so she loves it. When they first started, it was a little painful to watch, not much of the ball going back and forth. But by the end of the 2nd season (fall and winter), she and the rest of the team improved so much! Charlotte's weakest area was serves and towards the end, she would get the max of 5 serves over the net! In fact, there was one game where she was the final server and it was tied for game point. She served and won the game! I have never seen her so happy. I wanted to cry because I knew how proud she felt. And in their winter season, they were the top team, made it to playoffs, and then won the championship! Charlotte did amazing and was so happy to get a medal. I also loved that several of the girls have brothers who are in the same class as Nathan. We're proud of you Charlotte!

Mama Visiting Kinder

Mama loves to visit my classroom, and the kids (no matter the age) love to see Mama. Kindergarten babies are especially happy to have visitors and can't believe I have a mommy too! They are so funny like that. Mom was so sweet to all of them and gave them so many hugs. Every single one of them wanted to hug her :) She read a story to them and they were such good listeners and then she at lunch with me and Charlotte. Charlotte ordered her usual chicken salad sandwich from Paradise Bakery. It's both of our favorites :)

Nathan and Drew

Nathan and Drew are having so much fun in band together. Drew came over to spend the night after school, and they put on their own band concert. I was laughing so hard!

Middle School Dance

Nathan had his first middle school dance! I picked up two of his friends and then we also picked up Emma. A lot of her friends were not going to the dance so she didn't want to go alone. The boys were so funny because I was telling them that they had to be really nice to Emma and use their Cotillion manners! They were so funny in the backseat. They were talking to each other and asking "Where is she going to sit?" "Should we all go up to her door?" I told them to all go to her door to pick her up and then let her get in first. Someone will need to put the seat down for her. So then they were all talking about who would put the seat down and who goes in first, taking it really seriously and like they didn't want to mess up, lol! When we got to her house, they all got out, went to the door and were so polite. We took some pictures and then they went to the car. All of the previous directions/conversations went out the door because they got nervous! Nathan and someone else both tried to open her door at the same time. Then Jack got in first. Emma started to get in, but Nathan and Drew said "Jack you're supposed to put the seat down for her!" Jack panicked and put the seat down...but while she was climbing in so it totally folded down on her. We were all laughing so hysterically. They were a bunch of bumbling morons!

Cotillion

This was Nathan's first official Cotillion night. Boy did he look handsome! And he felt handsome too! When we first went shopping for his fancy clothes, he was really excited and actually liked everything. But when he put them on this night, he was so stiff and uncomfortable. It was so funny! I told him he could move his arms :) Then he was so worried about getting food or water on his clothes that he put a paper towel in his collar. Jack's mom picked us up so that the boys could go together. We met Drew there plus Aidan and Noah. After we dropped the boys off and took pictures, the mommies went to a sushi restaurant up the street :)

Kids Rooms Updated

Since we are redecorating the house, the kids wanted to add a little spice to their rooms. Wayne helped them organize and clean out...he is the best organizer! Then he got Nathan a desk for his Middle School work and put up shelves. Charlotte already had a desk, but once she saw Nathan's shelves, she wanted some too, lol! Nathan was so cute going to Ikea and picking out the perfect desk. He has really loved having his study space and actually uses it! He and Charlotte both also love displaying their favorite items. For Nathan, it's his superheros and for Charlotte, her American Girl dolls.
