What a wonderful trip we had! Nathan and Charlotte are such good travelers! When we plan a trip, we do it all! We went to every single memorial and museum we could go to. It took a little bit of pre-planning to get tickets to the Washington Monument on a certain day at a certain time. They only give out 30 tickets for each day and you can get them a month in advance. Wayne had it all planned out, and it was my job to get online at 8:00 am exactly and get our day. Well, I had my alarm set for pm instead of am and missed the day. I got online the next day and got them, but Wayne had to rearrange everything:) One of the highlights was renting electric scooters. The kids were so nervous we would embarrass them, but we all got the hang of it. They charge you by the hour so when it was time to turn them in, Wayne was like hurry lock them up and rushing us to get off and get them locked up a the return kiosk. Of course he gets his locked up just fine, but me and the kids couldn't get ours done. Every minute counts, Let's go! Let's go! It was so funny! Another highlight was getting a tour of Congress through our local congressman's office. We tried for the white house but they weren't doing tours yet.
