Lake

The lake is always great! We had one last lake weekend before having to get ready for school to start. Nathan and Charlotte loved being with Pearce and tubing with Annie. We did all of the usual things: Charlotte and Pearce made orange juliuses for breakfast, Mama made bacon and eggs, Carrie and I drank coffee with mom and dad on the porch, we went out in the boat for LOT AND LOTS of tube rides, we swam and jumped off the boat, came back for a lunch of turkey sandwiches and pimento cheese and chips, took a nap while kids played, went back out on the lake for more tubing, had fried chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner, smores for dessert, and then watched Netflix for hours while kids played on ipads. What a perfect day!

More Summer Fun

We took a quick little trip to the "beach" with Adalynn and it was only 20 minutes away! There's a man made sandy beach area in Little Elm that was perfect for us. The kids had so much fun playing with each other and having a beach picnic. Then we went for yogurt afterwards because they just didn't want to leave each other. Nathan and Charlotte totally passed out afterwards. 

The next day, Drew came over to swim. The boys were so funny acting like little kids with their floaties :)

Rusty

Rusty is our boy! He is definitely a member of the family! Nathan and Charlotte are so proud of him and love him tons! We have an ongoing debate about who Rusty loves more. Wayne says him, but we all know it's me :) Rusty does love to spend the day in Wayne's office if he works from home, and if you say "Wanna go?" Rusty gets so excited and runs to the back door, scratches it, and whines til we open it up. Then he runs to Wayne's car and is ready to hop in for errands. Nathan and Charlotte give him baths, take him to the school to play, and love to take him to Starbucks or Sonic for a pup cup (cup with whipped cream). He also loves Grandmother. She has started coming over and staying at our house if we go out of town to keep him. He's a great TV watcher with her. But he does get jealous. If anyone comes near me to give me a hug or kiss, he jumps right up there too for attention. Nathan has trained him so well to do tricks like sit, stay, come, jump, and he's working on turn around right now. We love you Rusty!
