Our California Adventure: Los Angeles and the Beaches

While Carrie, Chris, and Pearce spent a third day at Disneyland, the three of us went sightseeing around Los Angeles and up the coast to see some of the beaches. We had an amazing day! We woke up early and headed to Highway 1 where we drove up the coast and stopped at several beaches. Manhattan Beach was beautiful! The kids couldn't wait to get in! I was surprised by how cool the water was...I thought it was cold, but they didn't care. In they went! Next we went to Santa Monica. I loved it here! We walked all around and had lunch at the end of the pier. The view was so pretty, the breeze was cool, and the food at this restaurant was amazing! Of course, the kids couldn't wait to ride the rides. We went on the huge Farris Wheel and could see for miles! After Santa Monica, we headed to Hollywood. Nathan thought this part was really cool. We walked up and down Hollywood Boulevard and saw all of the street performers. We saw the Hollywood sign and the Chinese Theater where I put my hands on Harrison Ford. He is still my favorite :) It was a very full day but so much fun!
