For Spring Break, we let Nathan and Charlotte tell us wheat they wanted to do. They both decided on Sea World which was great for us because it's an easy trip. We stayed at a hotel right by Sea World but also went to the River Walk and Alamo. Even though it was Spring Break week, it really wasn't all that crowded. And the weather was perfect! It was cool during the morning but warmed up during the day. But it wasn't so hot that we were sweating. They opened up a new water park at Sea World as well. I thought it was too cold to go, but since it was opened, Nathan and Charlotte wanted to go. They also weren't ready for our vacation to be over. So Daddy surprised us and got us a room at Horseshoe Bay for an extra day/night. We let them do the water park in the morning when it first opened and then drove to Horseshoe bay, stopping in Fredericksburg on the way. When we were at the water park, we were pretty much the only ones there since it was cold in the morning. I think there was one other family there when it opened. The good thing was that there were no lines! Nathan and Charlotte were cold, but they went from one slide to another. And in about an hour, they had done everything! Wayne and I were all bundled up in our jackets while they were shivering going on all the slides, so funny! Once they did everything, they dried off and changed and then we drove to Fredericksburg. I've been there with friends but Wayne and the kids had never been. They loved driving through the hill country and seeing all of the rural farms and ranches. Once we got to Fredericksburg, we ate lunch at the cutest diner with the best food then we walked around to all the shops and then headed to Horseshoe Bay. Horseshoe Bay was amazing and a little vacation on its own. It is a resort on a lake with so many different types of amenities. We explored the area first then played a game of putt putt. The course was so neat because it looked like a real golf course and was so pretty. After putt putt, we watched an outdoor circus show that they had on this huge grassy lawn. We ate dinner outside and then Nathan and Charlotte had a night swim in the heated pool. We loved it and will definitely be going back!
