8th Grade Formal Masquerade Dance

This dance was scheduled for months but Nathan said he and his friends weren't going. I kept asking to make sure, and the answer was always no. Until the Sunday before, he announced they all decided to go. I was like what?!? And it's formal so it's not like he could just wear his Nike gear. We spent the day going to 2 Men's Wearhouse to see what we could rent, but they were out of everything since prom just happened. Davyn's mom told us there was a store in Willow Bend Mall that had formal suits/shirts/accessories and was pretty inexpensive. She was right! They had everything! It was like an off brand formal store for men. The guy round this coat and jacket for Nathan. He said he liked the all black look better. then we found these blac/gray (kinda gaudy/cheap looking in my opinion but he LOVED them) shoes. The whole thing was $275 including alterations which was a good price if we were buying, but I still thought that was a lot for 1 dance. Wayne, being the good daddy he is, said this was an important time in Nathan's life and he wants him to feel proud of how he looks. Does he really like the clothes? I was like oh yes, he loves it all. I already told Nathan it was a lot and we walked out so that we could "think" about it. Then after talking to Daddy while we were walking in the mall, Daddy said just turn around and go back to get it all. I cannot tell you how excited Nathan was! And the guy did the best job altering his pants!!! My boy sure did look handsome that night, and he felt so good too.
