Backyard Remodel

We have been wanting to redo the backyard for several years. We knew it would be a big project (expensive and time consuming) but we finally decided to bite the bullet. We started researching companies and looking at pictures in January and then started actually deciding between companies in February. On February 10, we started with the first major part of the project: demoing the exisiting kitchen. As soon as this started, I knew it was a sure thing that we would go forward. I was so excited! We picked Sunstone as the company to do the work. Work started March 1st with draining the pool. They told us that we would be done by the end of May. It actually didn't get all the way finished until June 15. The pool was ready for us to swim in the beginning of June, but the patio cover wasn't finished until June 15. Wayne told them we had a family reunion June 15 and had to have it finished by then. We stuck to this story, and they were working late on the 14th and even the morning of the 15th! I finally got to put the furniture in that weekend. I was so happy! We had some bumps in the road, but overall it was a good process. Our whole purpose in building this outdoor area was to encourage Nathan and Charlotte to bring their friends here instead of going somewhere else. Boy did it work!!!! We put a huge TV outside, added a ping pong table, and I told Wayne we have to keep the fridge stocked with drinks for them. Even if the kids don't drink all of a drink, it's just fun to have the option to drink whatever you want. Charlotte and Nathan have had their friends over multiple times and it makes us so happy! We also got a mosquito company to spray once a month. We haven't had any problems at all!!!
