Last weekend, we went to Van Buren, AR to visit Uncle Stuart, Aunt Tiffany, Logan, Landon, Lexa, and Layton. Grandmother came too so we had a great time together, and the kids were in Heaven! It was so wonderful to see how excited Nathan was to be with his cousins. Nathan, Logan, and Landon were wild and crazy playing like typical boys, and Charlotte and Lexa were sweet and quiet with their baby dolls. Layton was so easy going and played with everyone.
We were all excited to see the kids' new kitten. And guess what they named him??? Mr. Kitten Britches! Isn't that hilarious?! The kitten was very sweet and tolerated the crazy kids wanting to hold him every second. He even went down the slide with them!
Before going out to eat for dinner, all of the kids took over the street, riding bikes, scooters, cars, and just plain running! It was really neat to see them all doing thier own thing and having so much fun together. Grandmother was very proud of her group!
We went to Market Street for dinner and then headed to our main attraction. Tiffany and Stuart took us to a park where there were tons of Christmas lights and a cute train that takes you all through the park to look at them. They kids could not wait to ride the train! We parked at a a coffee shop and got coffee for the adults and hot chocolate for the kids. When we got to the park, it was REALLY crowded. The line for the train was long, but the kids were so excited to ride that we didn't want to leave. Luckily, there were several play areas there so everyone had lots of time to swing and slide before it was our turn. Logan, Landon, and Nathan rode together. Helen, Charlotte, and I were behind the boys. Tiffany, Lexa, and Layton were behind us. And then Wayne and Stuart squeezed...and I mean SQUEEZED themselves in behind Tiffany. When you see the picture, you are going to laugh! What's so funny is that there was an empty seat behind them! I guess they just wanted to be together, ha!
After our train ride, we went home, took baths, and had an early Christmas. The kids couldn't wait! While we were waiting on the boys to get themselves ready, Charlotte and Lexa had so much fun playing with Lexa's babies. Charlotte was so happy that Lexa had so many baby dolls to choose from!
To start us off, Grandmother passed out her presents to everyone. The group picture of all of the kids sitting behind their big bags is so cute!
Grandmother gave them all money and tins full of fun stuff like pencils, note pads, stickers, hats, and candy. And the money was so much fun for them because she gave them a bunch of ones so they felt like they were rich! Plus Wayne, Stuart, Tiffany, and I got our Christmas money too. Thank you Grandmother!!!
Next, the kids opened their presents from each other. Nathan got a Spider-Man basketball goal that hangs from a door and Charlotte got a new baby doll. Both were VERY happy with their gifts. Thank you Uncle Stuart and Aunt Tiffany!
The next morning, we went to church with Stuart and Tiffany. I was a litttle worried about Nathan and Charlotte being ok with going somewhere they haven't been before, but their cousins took great care of them. Logan and Landon's group even went up on stage to sing a Christmas song to the congregation, and Nathan went right up too! It was so cute! And after church, we had one more great lunch at TGI Friday's before heading back to Texas.
We had so much fun together. Thank you so much Stuart and Tiffany for having us, and I'm sorry for the mess we left behind. Nathan and Charlotte can't wait for us to get together again soon!!!
