Happy Halloween!

Halloween was very fun this year because Pearce got to trick or treat with us! He adores Nay Nay and Charlotte so he was so excited to see them! Auntie Carrie and Pearce got here Thursday afternoon just in time to pick Nathan up from school. When Nathan walked down the steps, Pearce RAN to him yelling Nay Nay! Nay Nay! It was so cute. They walked home holding hands and from Thursday afternoon until Sunday morning, Pearce held Nathan hostage :) Nathan loves being with Pearce too, but it's so funny to me that Pearce never wants a break from Nathan. Sometimes Nathan would want a little alone time, but he was also sweet about understanding that Pearce has been looking so forward to being with him for weeks so he was a trooper. On Friday night, Nathan actually had a sleepover birthday party which then gave Charlotte a chance just to be with Pearce. And the two of them loved playing babies!

Charlotte had school for a half day on Friday so afterwards, we went to visit Grandma. The two of them were so cute with her because they have their own routine. Once we got in her room, They went straight for her dresser drawer where they usually find candy. Then Pearce handed Charlotte a brush and lotion so they started fixing Grandma up...brushing her hair, putting lotion on her hands, and being so sweet to her.

And when we got dressed up for trick or treating, all three kids looked so cute! We had a cheerleader, the Incredible Hulk (who did not want to wear his mask), and a Storm Trooper. Before trick or treating, we got a surprise visit from Mama and Papa who just flew in from their river cruise in Germany! So they stopped by on their way home. Nathan, Charlotte, and Pearce were so excited to see them! We then walked to the neighborhood carnival where they had bounce houses, balloon animals, food trucks, all sorts of things for the kids. It was fun. And then we went trick or treating. All three kids were so excited to go house to house getting candy and Pearce kept saying "This is the best Halloween ever!" It was so cute. After a while though, Nathan really wanted to go home and be the one handing out candy. So once their buckets were filled, we headed home. Nathan, Charlotte, and Pearce each had a job for handing out candy to kids. One would open the door, one would give candy to the kids, and one would say Happy Halloween and close the door. They took turns with each job while also eating tons of their own candy. Happy Halloween!!!
