Pearce and Auntie Carrie

Nathan, Charlotte, and Pearce have really been missing each other! We got out of school May 21 and Pearce got out the next week. As soon as school was over, Carrie and Pearce packed up up and headed to our house. Boy were the kids excited to be together!!! They are at such a great age because they are big enough to take care of themselves and keep themselves occupied so that Carrie and I can enjoy each other too. They spent the week with us, and we were busy every day! The first day, we just took it easy and hung out and swam. Luckily, our pool got fixed the week before so it was ready for them to enjoy! The next day, we went to lunch at the revolving sushi restaurant and then to Urban Air and then fidget shopping. Charlotte and Pearce are all into fidgets right now! They were so cute doing their fidget trading and making videos. Nathan hung out with us a lot, but he also had some friend time at Heritage Lakes. Pearce and Charlotte really wanted to go to the movies and see The Quiet Place 2...they like a good scare. Nathan not so much. He ended up getting invited to hang out with Drew, Cooper, and Skylar at Drew's Dad's house. So while he was with Drew, we went to the movies. Well, it turns out that Nathan's friends decided they wanted to go to see The Quiet Place too! Kinda funny, he had to give in to his friends :)  They went out to eat and then had a sleep over at Drew's house. We had fun at the movies too. We loaded up on snacks and then Pearce and Charlotte had so much fun sitting next to each other and being scared together. I embarrassed them a few times by screaming out loud :) The next morning, I picked up Nathan and we headed to Mama and Papa's house. Our plan was to go to the new chicken salad restaurant, Chicken Salad Chicks. Mom and I already tried it and loved it and wanted Carrie to try it. Well, it was closed for that day for "unforseen reasons" SO DISAPPOINTING! So we went to McAlister's, our other favorite place for chicken salad. After lunch, we went back to Mama's to hang out. Nathan really wanted a haircut before camp so we left to do that. While we were gone, we missed all the excitement...Carrie and Charlotte were organizing Mama's pantry. Carrie got her some organizational containers for her for Mother's Day. Mama and Pearce went for a golf cart ride and ended up getting stuck in the mud! Meanwhile, Charlotte knocked over a bottle of oil in the pantry and it spilled all over Carrie's new shoes! We spent the rest of the days swimming, shopping, and just having so much fun together! Pearce and Charlotte really bonded even more. Now that Nathan is getting older, it seems like Pearce and Charlotte have more in common which is really nice for Charlotte. For a while, Pearce was all about Nay Nay...he loved being with Charlotte too, but sometimes she felt a little left out. When the week was over, the kids were really sad. Pearce and Charlotte both cried which made me so sad for them. But we are planning a weekend in Austin and then we'll also see each other at Taylor's wedding in July.
