Last weekend was the Arkansas / Texas A&M game at Cowboys Stadium. We had a house full! Carrie and Chris (along with Daisy and Otis), Uncle Cliff and Aunt Edie, Darien and Jennifer, Nancy and Joyce (Nancy's friend) and Carl and Betty (Cliff and Edie's friends) were all here! Darien and Jennifer and Carrie and Chris were the only ones who stayed here though. Nathan was so excited to see everyone. He stayed up until 11:30 Friday night because he did not want to miss out on anything!
Nathan and Uncle Cliff
Auntie Carrie with Nathan and Charlotte...whenever Carrie comes to visit, she always brings a gift. This time she brought a Halloween gift for Nathan and Charlotte. They were both so excited to see what was in the bags. They each got a spooky sippy cup (Nathan got an eye ball cup and Charlotte had a pumpkin cup, they also got Halloween flashlights, suckers, and window clings!)
Carl, Betty, Nancy, Edie, and Joyce
Chris, Wayne, Grandmother, and Jennifer
The next day, we woke up early. Mama and Papa picked up Nathan and Charlotte so that they could spend the day with them, and we headed to the game. Last year, the game was later in the day so we tailgated first. This year, it was an early game so we got there a couple of hours before it started and just hung out outside, had a few drinks, and a snack...Carrie and I started out with a funnel cake!
In these next two pictures, Jennifer and I were trying to do a "skinny" pose :)
The game was so great! We played horribly the first half, but by the second half, we were doing so much better. The game finally got tied, and we ended up winning. The score was 42-38, and the guys were so happy! I was so glad we were going to go home and spend the rest of the night with some happy fans! Although the game was exciting, I also had so much fun with the food! Carrie and I split a funnel cake first, then I had chicken fingers and fries and nachos with carrie...time to diet!
After the game, we all had a quick rest time and then started the party again! We had a mexican fiesta for dinner complete with fajitas, chips and queso, and plenty to drink! When Mom and Dad brought Charlotte and Nathan back over, the first thing Nathan wanted to know was where was everyone. As soon as they got back over, Nathan was so happy to be back in the spotlight!
Nathan kept telling me how pretty he thought Jennifer was, and he was her shadow for the weekend. Nathan helped her carry in her bags, would throw away her cups for her, and always wanted to help her open the gate to go upstairs! It was so funny how "gentleman like" he was! We had a great weekend and can't wait until next year!
