Charlotte has been waiting for this night FOREVER! The school has a Daddy Daughter dance every year. There is always a different theme. This year's theme was a western one. Well, Charlotte is my girly girl, and she told me she didn't want to wear cowboy stuff. She wanted a pretty dress. So we went shopping. I told her she could find a cute dress and then just wear her boots with it. She liked that idea. We went to the mall and tried on tons of dresses. This white lace dress was one of the first ones she tried on and she was in love as soon as she put it on!!! Nothing else compared in her mind. Wayne made this day so special for her. They planned on going with Skylar and her dad which Charlotte thought would be fun. Wayne made it like a real date. He picked her up at the front door and brought her red roses. She loved them so much. Then they went out to eat together. Jennifer and I took the boys out too.
Charlotte told me that she was going to be so careful at dinner. Wayne said Skylar was trying to hand her a piece of pizza and dropped it on her dress. She was devastated! Even though it was an accident, she was so sad because they hadn't even gotten to the dance yet. But Wayne was quick thinking. He put a ton of water on it so the stain wouldn't stick and then went to Kroger to get a bleach pen! I couldn't believe he thought of that! He said by the time they got to the dance, you couldn't see the stain at all and she was so happy. Once they got to the dance, he said all of the girls just swarmed Charlotte! They had all been waiting for her to get there. And he said the girls just danced and played with each other while the dads talked. When Charlotte came home, she looked just as pretty as when she left and went on and on about how much fun she had.
