Still in Corona Virus Mode

It is June 9th and life is changing a little bit. The governor has lifted a lot of restrictions so not everyone is in "quarantine" now. But, the cases are still rising. We are still being very cautious. Even though restaurants, shops, malls, some movie theaters have opened, we are still staying home for the most part. And if we do venture out for the grocery store or to run an errand, we always wear our masks. We only go out for essential items, and the kids really don't go with us into a store. I think they've been to the grocery store once with Daddy but wore their masks. I know some people who really aren't using much caution and just ready to get out and then others who are more like us. We may be more on the extreme side, but when you know people who have gotten the virus (like us) you know you don't want it!!!

I have used this time to get caught up on some home projects. The first was redoing Charlotte's room. She really wanted a bigger bed so we rearranged her room and then ordered everything online! She had to completely clean out her room and get rid of some things. She and Nathan both helped me and did such a good job. Now everything has a place and nothing is "stuffed" somewhere. She actually found the bed she liked online...I was so impressed! And it had good reviews! While we were waiting for all of her bed things to come in, I painted her bathroom. We used the same gray from the rest of the house. We got a new shower curtain, and added crystal knobs to the drawers. It looks so good! She loves it! Then a few days after I finished, her bed and bedding came in. She has been in her room ever since :)

Now I'm starting on painting the guest room and guest bathroom. The walls were green and pink before. I don't know what I was thinking 12 years ago! So those projects are keeping me busy. The kids are doing so well keeping themselves occupied. They have to earn technology hours by doing chores, reading, playing outside, playing with friends, etc... They get 3 free hours and then earn additional time by doing those things listed. It's really worked out great. They love playing with each other, and we are so thankful for our pool!!!! We've been having outside playdates (and social distancing) by having on friend over at a time and swimming, eating lunch, everything outside. It's worked great. We also celebrated Charlotte and Wayne's birthday quarantine style! Charlotte's friends did a bday drive-by parade and made her feel so special!
