Christmas in Springfield

After we got back from Nashville, we packed up the car and headed to Springfield, Missouri with Mom and Dad for an early Christmas with my family who hadn't seen Nathan yet. My grandmother, aunt and uncle, cousins, sisters, nieces and nephews were all there and ready for Nathan's debut!

Here is Nathan with Mama Pearce, his great grandmother (my dad's mom). She is in the hospital right now because of a broken hip, but Nathan did his best to make her feel better. She loved seeing him for the first time. When I laid Nathan down on Mama Pearce's bed, he was so calm and quiet. He loved holding onto her hand and was so sweet with her.

Nathan and Mama Pearce snuggling together!

Uncle Gordon and Aunt Mona with Nathan. I think Nathan resembles Uncle Gordon! Actually, he looks a lot like Aunt Mona's baby picture. We found one to compare, and it really was like looking at Nathan!

My nieces Victoria and Haleigh took such good care of their cousin.

Here is my other niece, Taylor with Nathan. Taylor was such a huge help. She was such a pro when it came to holding and playing with him. All I had to do was change the diapers!

Time for presents!

For Nathan's first Christmas, he did really well! He got lots of fun toys, stuffed animals, and a personalized Christmas book.

And here are all of the girls: Taylor, Nicole, Haleigh, Missy, me, Mom, Victoria and Lisa

We packed a lot into just a few days and had the best time. We loved showing him off...and he loved showing off! He was so happy the whole time, and he even slept an hour longer one morning! Before we left, Mom and Dad treated us to breakfast. Nathan sat on Mama's lap while she ate and then he fell asleep and slept halfway through the 8 hour trip home! He is such a good traveler! He woke up a couple more times to be fed but then went right back to his favorite hobby...snoozing :)
