Happy Halloween 2010!

It seems like Nathan has been asking me when it's going to be time to Trick or Treat for 2 months now! It was so fun to finally say, "You get to go trick or treating tomorrow!" We started getting ready for Halloween by carving our pumpkins. Nathan picked out the two biggest ones for us to carve :) I knew this process was going to be messy, but luckily I had a painting smock that my sister, Missy, gave Nathan. Perfect!

Even Charlotte got to join in

Ooooooh! Yucky! I know Nathan can't wait to dig in!

Well, it turns out we didn't need the smock afterall...Nathan wanted no part of diggin out the seeds...so guess who had to do it? Me!

It is finally Hallween! Nathan was beside himself with excitement! He took a great nap, and then it was time to dress up as a pirate! Charlotte wore her cat shirt and an orange tutu that my mom made her. We walked to our neighborhood Halloween party which had bounce houses, snacks, a fire truck, and more. Then we came home and met Alison and Lauren and Meredith, Darin, and Adrew. This is the third time Nathan, Lauren, and Andrew have been trick or treating with each other! After a dinner of pizza and salad, the kids were ready to go!

Nathan had so much fun at the neighborhood party, and could have stayed there all night...

Charlotte, on the other hand, was ready to go! When we got back to the house, Lauren was there waiting on Nathan. They were so excited to see each other.

Alison and Charlotte

The Three Musketeers ready to trick or treat. There were several times when Nathan was handed a piece of candy he didn't like. I heard him (in his most polite voice) say, "No thank you, that's yucky. I like this one."

The kids had so much fun going from house to house. Charlotte got pretty tuckered out after just a few houses and Alison and Meredith took turns holding her...I was a free Mommy!

Now it's time to see what they got!

Nathan filled his bucket with so much candy that the handle actually broke! I fixed it though...thanks Aunt Carrie and Uncle Chris for the cute bucket.

And here is Nathan the next morning having leftover goodies...I made cake balls for everyone, and it turned out that Nathan loved them the most :)
