Fun with Pearce

Auntie Carrie and Pearce came to Dallas to visit us for a few days...Saturday through Tuesday. It worked out perfectly because Wayne had to go out of town on business, so even though we missed Daddy, the house was not lonely! Nathan and Charlotte are always so sad when Wayne is out of town so having Carrie and Pearce here made them really happy! To start the visit, we met at Grandma's apartment Saturday morning. Nathan and Charlotte went straight to Baby Pearce and couldn't keep their hands off of him! If they had it their way, they would never let me hold him!
Carrie also brought Nathan and Charlotte a little gift...a bug barn! We went to the Arboretum the next day, and Nathan and Charlotte loved bringing it along with them. They even caught a caterpillar there!

These next pictures are so funny to me! Nathan and Charlotte have a signature move that always makes Pearce laugh. Nathan started this, and now Charlotte does it too. The trick is to clap really fast with a surprised look on your face...Nathan has perfected it, and I am so happy to have documentation of this. It is so funny!

After our visit with Grandma, we went to the McKinney square where we walked around, ate lunch, and visited the candy store. Then went back to Mama and Papa's house for a dinner of kabobs and chocolate pie. And when Carrie and I get together with our babies, we can't help but take lots of pictures! I helped Carrie get the perfect picture for her Christmas cards, which she did, but you'll have to wait until December to see it! But here are a few other cute ones we got of  Pearce, Nathan, and Charlotte...

Nathan had fun with us for a while and then passed out on the couch! I think he ended up taking a 2 hour power nap at 5:00 pm! Needless to say, he stayed up late when we got back to my house.

On Sunday, we packed a picnic and headed to the Dallas Arboretum with Mom. Nathan and Charlotte love going there to run around, and I love taking their pictures! They get so tired of me taking pictures of them, but one day they will appreciate it! Luckily, Mama brought some treats along with our lunch that I used to bribe them with :)Nathan is actually turning into a little photographer too. He ended up taking over Mama's camera and actually took some really good pictures of all of us and the scenery!

Nathan and Charlotte were so cute eating their lunch and playing with Pearce. It is so sweet how much they love "parenting" Pearce. Charlotte loves her baby dolls, and to her, Pearce is a "real" baby doll that she can be a mommy to. There is one picture (you'll know it when you see it) where Pearce was sad, and Charlotte wrapped her arms around him and was trying to make him feel better. She is so sweet.

When we went into the Arboretum, we brought a stroller for Pearce and my small umbrella stroller for Charlotte. After all of our walking around, both Nathan AND Charlotte were tired and BOTH wanted to ride in the stroller. So, we ended up renting this wagon which they both loved!

Before leaving the Arboretum, I really wanted one picture of the three of us together. Just one. Nathan and Charlotte were getting tired, and the last thing they wanted to do was pose with Mommy:

Here's the "Before" picture...before I remembered we had one more package of M&Ms to bribe with:

And here's the "After" picture...I got my cute picture with the kids, and they got their M&Ms.

After the Arboretum, all three kids took a great nap in the car on the way home. Papa then met us at my house later on that evening with pizzas for dinner. We ate our pizza, every single piece, and played outside for a while.

Our visit with Auntie Carrie and Pearce was so much fun! Nathan and Charlotte were sad when they left but luckily Daddy is coming home tonight! They missed their daddy and are going to be so happy he is home. Plus, whenever Daddy leaves on a trip, he always brings them back something from the toy store. I wonder what surprise they are going to get???

Pearce and I had so much fun in Dallas! He was so exhausted by the time we got home that he slept from 7:30 to 8:30 this morning! Nathan and Charlotte, thank you for being so sweet to Pearce!
