Happy Birthday Pearce

Pearce is 2! We had so much fun celebrating Pearce's 2nd birthday with him. I love to see Nathan and Charlotte with him because they act so big in taking care of him. Pearce adores both of them but is especially excited about being with Nay Nay. Whatever Nathan does (or tells Pearce to do), he does it! It is wonderful to see the kids together and to see Nathan and Charlotte take their responsibility of being the "bigger" ones so seriously.

Pearce had a Toy Story party which was perfect because he is pretty much obsessed with it. Carrie said he wants to watch the movie everyday and would watch it more than once if he could! Along with some toy story toys, Pearce also got a new kitchen with all the supplies.  Charlotte had so much fun cooking in it!

The other exciting thing that happened during our weekend was that Nathan lost his first tooth! His two bottom center permanent teeth had already started to come in behind his baby teeth so the dentist told us to wiggle the baby teeth constantly to help loosen them up or he would have to get them pulled. Nathan was wiggling all the time! It seemed like he had his fingers in his mouth every time I looked at him! So Saturday night right before we had cake, Nathan ran in to tell everyone that he lost his tooth! I found Wayne and Robert in the guest room actually looking for it. As soon as it came out, Nathan spit it out on the floor. So the lost tooth was lost. We finally found it, put it in a Baggie and Nathan proudly showed it to everyone...and then set it down somewhere. An hour (and a few glasses of wine) later, I remembered the Baggie and asked Nathan where it was. He didn't know. I searched and searched, even through the trash and never found it. Chris joked that Nathan is the only kid who lost his tooth 3 times! Nathan was about to fall asleep but was worried about the tooth fairy not bringing him any moneybecause we couldn't find his too. We assured him we'd find it and put it under his pilllow and told him to go ahead and go to sleep. The next morning Nathan was so happy to find his money...he thinks that we did find it, and the tooth fairy took it...little white lie.
