We always go to the Arboretum with Mama. Nathan and Charlotte were both out of school for Columbus Day so we figured that was the perfect day to go! It had been nice and cool for a few days but this day ended up being hot! Nathan and Charlotte love the Arboretum. They love running around and playing in the grassy area. Plus Mama packed us the best picnic full of good sandwiches, chips, cookies, candy, drinks, a little bit of everything! Nathan and Charlotte each brought a few things to keep them occupied. Charlotte brought her poodle purse STUFFED with things including a jump rope...we all had a jump rope contest. I used to be so good at it, now it's hard!
Of course, I took lots of pictures like I always do. But then Nathan wanted to use my camera and take pictures. It was payback for me because he always gets so frustrated when I'm wanting to take a bunch of pictures of him. So now, the rest of us were on the receiving end of his photography skills. Nathan was so funny. We'd walk a bit, and then he'd stop us and pose us. Or he would just take pictures of the landscape. Then Charlotte wanted to take a few in the end too.
We had the best day! And Nathan and Charlotte were so happy that I let them play in the water! It was hot that day so it felt good to them. Thanks Mama for a wonderful day!
