For Spring Break, we decided we wanted to do something but not go too far away or be gone the whole time. The kids (Nathan especially) are at an age that they want to be with their friends a lot. Nathan likes to go to the neighborhood next to us to meet all of his friends and hang out. So what we all compromised on was that we would all go for 2 days and then I would bring the kids back to stay with Grandmother at our house and Wayne and I would stay another two days just relaxing, watching movies, and doing some work we never get down. It was WONDERFUL!!!! While the kids were with us, we went to the cattle drive first and walked around the downtown area. We also saw a shoot em up show. Then we went to eat at Joe T. Garcia's which is a famous mexican restaurant. Oh my goodness, it was so good! The atmosphere was fabulous. So was the salsa and margaritas, but we both agreed that the fajitas were just ok. Our place back home, Tupy's has the BEST fajita chicken! Then the kids each got big toys to play with in the hotel. Nathan got a big Lego set, and Charlotte got an LOL doll. Our room was big with a nice view so it was fun for the kids to hang out and just play. The next day, we toured the campus of TCU and then went to the Ft. Worth Zoo. I took Nay Nay and Charlotte home after the zoon and then Daddy and I had some fun. We went to the best BBQ and had the BEST ice cream for dessert. We had this same ice cream with Nathan and Charlotte the day before. I mean it was so GOOD!!!! And then when we got home, I still had some days to relax before school started again! It was great!
Also during spring break, Nathan and Charlotte had some of their own activities. Charlotte went to the Arboretum with Mama and looked at the pretty flowers. She spent the night with her the day before and went shopping, of course. She wore one of her cute dresses at the Arboretum and had a photo shoot with Mama. Nathan, Drew, Davyn, and Joel went to the Andretti Indoor Go Cart racing place. Afterwards, we went to lunch at Steak and Shake. I took a funny picture of Drew because he forgot his mask and had to wear my sequin heart mask :)
