After picking out the potty, we also let Nathan pick out any kind of "potty" treat he wanted. He ended up deciding on a huge bag of Dora candy. He actually picked out the perfect treats because each candy is individually wrapped and it's all gummy type candy or jelly beans, nothing messy. He gets one treat if he will sit on the potty without his pants and diaper on and try to go. He gets two treats if he actually tinkles, and 3 if he goes poo-poo.
On Sunday, he tried to go several times, and then later in the day he did tee-tee in the potty. He was so happy and excited! Since then, he will sit on the potty and try to go several times a day. And every once in a while, we're lucky, and he actually goes. He loves pouring the cup into the big potty and flushing it, then he runs around the house saying, "I'm so proud of you!"
We figured we'd spend the first week just getting him used to the potty and liking it, then we'll move onto trying to get him to tell us when he has to go. For those of you who have been through this, any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

Good luck and keep us posted on how he's doing. We're not having much luck with Benjamin. Sorry I don't have any advice but it sounds like you've got a great plan!
I must say that I'm a little sad you won't be wearing diapers for much longer...you are growing up! I am sure your mommy and daddy won't be sad though since they'll be starting diapers with your baby sister in a few more months. I am so proud of you Nathan!!!
Ash, one of my friends said they didn't do pull ups around the house....just regular underwear so that they really felt the wetness if they had an accident.
Good luck! I don't have much advice because we are still struggling with it :-)
Little Nate looks so old! Looks like he is getting ready to be the big brother...
