An Early Christmas with Uncle Stuart and Aunt Tiffany

The Monday after Thanksgiving, Grandmother piled in the car with the three of us, and we headed to Arkansas to visit Stuart and Tiffany and their 4 children: Logan, Landon, Lexa and Layton. Nathan was so excited to be able to spend time and play with his cousins for two days. Stuart and Tiffany just moved to a new house so it was the perfect time to get together, see the house, and have an early Christmas.

We got to Van Buren late Monday night. On Tuesday, Tiffany, Landon, and Layton went to school so the rest of us went out to lunch to a cute restaurant that was inside a train! The kids loved it! Charlotte slept through most of lunch with me holding her and then woke up for dessert...this is becoming a habit for her!

When we got home, Nathan couldn't wait to get his hands on all of the toys! He, Lexa, and Logan had so much fun playing together. And Charlotte was happy as can be playing with all of Lexa's baby dolls.

Snack time with Grandmother...

This year we decided to just give gifts to the kids, and instead of us picking out the presents, we let the kids pick out their own. After Tiffany, Landon, and Layton got home from school, we all went to Toys R Us where they got to pick out a toy. It was so much fun watching all of the go from aisle to aisle trying to pick out just the right thing. There was a dollar limit on the toy so there were a few times, we'd have to tell one of them to pick something else out, but they were all really good about that. Nathan chose a dinosaur, and Charlotte picked out a baby doll...surprise, surprise :) After everyone made their selection, we went out to eat to a catfish restaurant. Wayne, Helen, and I were in Heaven because you cant' find a good southern catfish restaurant here in Dallas! There was a big buffet with everything you can imagine, and we pretty much stuffed ourselves!

Time for presents from Grandmother!

Nathan was one happy boy thinking about all he could get from Toys R Us with Grandmother's money!

Tiffany and Stuart gave Helen a Scentsy warmer for her house. When all of the gifts were opened, the kids got to enjoy some of the goodies in their bags...cookies! And then play with their toys, take a bath, and get ready for bed.

We had so much fun! I love seeing Nathan with all of his cousins. It's so nice that they are all around the same age and can really play with each other. We love you all and can't wait to see you again soon!
