Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Helen went with us to the candlelight service at church. Nathan and Charlotte were very excited about this service because they could go to "big church" with us AND hold a lit candle at the end...very exciting! The service was really nice, and Nathan and Charlotte did a great job of sitting through it. At the beginning of the service, they had all of the kids come down front for a children's message. The best part of that was that they handed out kazoos to all of the kids for them to blow while they sang songs. Nathan felt big because we told  him to make sure he held Charlotte's hand while taking her down front. They were so cute together. He took his big brother job very seriously! Towards the end of the service, Nathan started to get tired and ended up laying down and falling asleep! When the lights got turned out and the candles lit, I woke him up to let him know we were lighting the candles. He popped up and said, "I'm a little tired Mommy, just wake me up when it's over."

Afterwards, we went back to my house for a chili dinner prepared by Mama. We opened all of our gifts to and from them, and had so much fun being together!
