Tea Parties and Cookies

Whenever Charlotte and I go to Mama's house to sew, Charlotte always has a tea party with mama. Nathan is usually at school, but on this day, Nathan had the day off so he came with us. Charlotte told him about her tea parties on the way over, and it was so cute to hear them talking about it...how to make the tea, what to put in it, do you add milk first or sugar? Nathan was really interested! So, as soon as we got to Mama's, that was the first thing they asked to do. They both got stuffed animals to come to the party and set them around the table. What was so funny to me was that the tea set Mom uses with Charlotte is tiny, but she's little too, so no big deal. But with Nathan, it really looked little bitty. He thought it was fun though.

Not only is Mama's house for sewing and tea parties, but it's also for making cookies. That is the other thing that Charlotte always asks for when we vist..."Mama, yet's make butter cookies." Charlotte pretty much has the recipe memorized for orange juliuses and butter cookies.
