Water Fun

Monday, we were invited to Jennifer and Jack's house for a day of fun in the sun! Nathan loved being outside and especially loved being in the water. It really was a beautiful day and so much fun to watch all of the kids play outside.

I slathered on the sunscreen and didn't do a very good job rubbing it in. Nathan was so squirmy and just wanted to get in the water so oh well. But I am proud to say that he did not get a bit of sun burn!

The other boys were busy exploring all of the different activities: sprinkler, water and sand table, baby pool, and just running around the yard. So Nathan got to have the pool all to himself. Look at those little fat rolls! He is so squeezable and kissable!

I did start to get a little nervous about the sun so We put on his robe for a little while.

Nathan loves to lounge.

Ethan and Jack did join Nathan every now and then. These mini flowerpots were a hit. Not only could you pour sand and water with them, Jack and Ethan found that they made great cups too!

It's ok Ethan, there's just a little bit of sand mixed in that water. When you're thirsty, you're thirsty!

Even Nathan got into the action at the sand/water table. This would be a great first birthday present! (hint, hint, Daddy)

Jack and Ethan took a little break for lunch, but the lunch ended up finding its way to the ground :)

"Mommy is always taking pictures of me, and now you're doing it too?"

To end the day, Jennifer brought out some homemade popsicles. Nathan sucked and sucked on it. But of course, Mommy had to finish it off.

"Thanks Jennifer and Jack for having me over. Can we come back and do it again? What about next week?!" Nathan took a nap that afternoon from 3:00 until 6:00! He was worn out but had so much fun!

And here's a video of Nate playing in the pool. I can't wait until we can go swimming this summer!
