Our Austin Weekend

We went to Austin this weekend to visit Aunt Carrie and Uncle Chris. Carrie needed a Nate fix, and spoiled him rotten! Actually, I was spoiled too because she got up with him both mornings...and once in the middle of the night thanks to teething. I accidentally "forgot" to mention that he's been doing this :) But she was a trooper! What's so great about Carrie is that she actually ENJOYED getting up with Nathan.

Carrie and Chris, being the wonderful aunt and uncle they are, welcomed Nathan with lots of fun toys! Can't you tell how excited he was? He got a seahorse stuffed animal, a new plate, big boy food, and a bubble gun which Nathan LOVED!

"Why can't I eat my chicken dinner now?"

"See Mommy, it came with its own plate...so now can I try my chicken dinner...and then maybe my oatmeal and peaches for dessert?"

"I've always wanted a glowing seahorse! And it plays lullabies too!"

After Nathan went to bed, we stayed up for a few games on the Wii. Here is Wayne trying to show off his computer game abilities. The last time he played Wii, he ended up ripping his shirt! I found out that I am a natural at bowling :)

"Otis, my bottom teeth are coming in, and I sure hope they aren't crooked like yours."

"Mommy, Otis is sharing his bone with me!"

"Oh my Otis, is it time for your nap too?"

It was so funny to watch Nate with Otis. He was very interested in every little move Otis made, and he especially loved it when Otis would shake his fur. We always got a laugh out of Nathan. Otis was very sweet to him too.

Saturday morning, while Wayne and Chris hung out, Carrie and I took Nathan to the park.

Nathan loves to swing and cried when we took him out!

What a sweet boy!

"Hmmmm, when I get home, do I want my chicken dinner first or my peaches?"

"Mommy don't be mad, Auntie Carrie said it was OK for me to play with her cup and spatula, I promise."

Saturday night, Nathan finally got to eat his food on his new plate and as you can see, he couldn't wait to dig in.

"I love visiting you Auntie Carrie."
